
Our Story
NW3 Research was founded by Daniel Molloy in 2024 in London, with the simple belief that there remains a need for high quality differentiated independent research and a willingness from investors to pay for such insight.
My starting point was not to be all things to all people, rather to form a partnership with a small group of like-minded research firms and professional investors.
Daniel has an undergraduate degree in Economics & Business from Trinity College Dublin, class of 2002, and a Masters in Economics from University College Dublin (UCD), class of 2003.
Whilst at UCD the great, but under the radar, Professor Morgan Kelly exerted a profound impact. He was one of the very few that called out the problems with the Irish financial system well ahead of the 2008 GFC. This developed in me a fascination with examining the numbers not the story.
My belief in a total dedication to always serving the needs of the client was first developed growing up on our dairy farm in Ireland in the 1980's noting how my father (still running the farm today at 92) took care of his clients, livestock buyers, who would return decade after decade, and still do. He didn't need to sell, reputation and consistent quality did all the work.
During an internship in 2000 I witnessed a similar respect for ones client when working with the legendary Ed Hyman and team at ISI in NYC (now Evercore ISI). Ed's total dedication, and innovative approach to client engagement, greatly influenced me.
The inspiration for the firm name, NW3, a London postcode encompassing primarily the lovely old village of Hampstead, stems from Hampstead's location on higher ground, historically a place full of fresh air, fresh thinking, away from the "noise" of central London.
We are in Phase I of building out the platform and service offering as we listen to the needs of stakeholders so please excuse the mess, more to follow.
